On December 14, 2023, @adam_bcbride and @luke_wright resurrected the abandoned BellsCoin blockchain and publicly announced it.

Thanks to its fair launch, it was not pre-mined, and there was no allocation for the team, etc.

Decentralized BellsCoin developers came together to update the BellsCoin Core code, which has been in use for over 11 years. Through this update, BEL-20 and Bellinals (inscriptions on the BellsCoin blockchain) are now supported.

On July 13, 2024, Bellscoin experienced a new halving and officially entered Epoch 3 with the creation of the 129,600th block. Although the community used the term 'halving' following Bitcoin's tradition, technically, this is slightly inaccurate.

This is because, excluding the production after Epoch 5, when only 2 Bellscoins are issued per block, over 60% of the total supply was produced in Epoch 2. The production volume will not be halved but will decrease exponentially, increasing the scarcity of Bellscoin.

The merged mining of BellsCoin, proposed by BillyM2K, the developer of Dogecoin, to the BellsCoin community in 2023, became possible through the Core 3.0 update.

BellsCoin is now capable of merged mining alongside Litecoin and Dogecoin, bringing numerous Scrypt PoW miners worldwide to participate in mining BellsCoin.

the world’s largest mining machine manufacturer, is following Bellscoin’s official Twitter account, @Bellschain.

Since @Litecoin declared itself as a memecoin, the Litecoin intern mentioned that Dogecoin and Bellscoin are part of the Scrypt family, emphasizing that $LTC, $DOGE, and $BELLS deserve a seat at the same table. Bellscoin is starting to gain more attention from a wider audience.

BillyM2K stated that Bellscoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin all belong to the Scrypt family and therefore take care of one another. He also reaffirmed that both Bellscoin and Dogecoin were coins he created.
